Denso’s New Iridium TT Spark Plugs

I’m sure you all know from my videos, I like to use original equipment spark plugs whenever possible. I’m sure you’re also aware that I’ve worked on many Honda’s and Acura’s in my career. Having said that, I have no problem helping to promote one of the 2 recommended plug manufactures endorsed by Honda and Acura, DENSO.

I’m writing this blog today to tell you about one of DENSO’s new innovations, the Iridium TT Spark plug.
Through the use of special spark plug making magic, DENSO has combined Iridium and Rhodium to create a plug that is super resistant to corrosion and corrosive chemicals like gasoline. This center electrode is, at the time of this writing, the smallest in the world! Which is a good thing
because those metals are expensive. To top this plug off they used an almost alchemic 360º laser welding to produce a twin tip to give the spark plenty of places to go.
In summary, DENSO has used their technological skills to make a really cool spark plug that resists misfires and fouling, provides consistent spark, even after 100K miles,. These plugs also work to lower emissions and help your engine run and idle better.
